Short Documentary on Old San Juan Hotel

We were approached by the owner of The Gallery Inn in Old San Juan to document its history and legacy in collaboration with the Steinway Society of Puerto Rico. For this project, we decided to follow two young pianists sponsored by the society. My goal was to capture the contrast between these two pianists, who came from different backgrounds and had distinct musical approaches, and to highlight how people from diverse backgrounds can unite through a shared love of music.

I assembled a team from other advertising projects I had previously worked on, and we dedicated a significant amount of time to learning about the history of the building and the individuals who work there. This knowledge informed our cinematography choices throughout the project.

Overall, this project showcased some of my favorite aspects of creative work: collaboration, fascinating individuals, and a passion for art, music, and community.
